Houston Bridal Portraits at Eden Plant Co.

weddings

Sweet Roars is getting married!

For those of you who don't know her, Roxy is the owner and cottage baker behind the ever-growing small business, Sweet Roars. She and her mans, Steve, run their business out of their home by doing local pickups and attending pop ups all over the city. If you don't follow the account, you can do so by clicking here!

Roxy told me she wanted her bridals done at Eden Plant Co. because of the locality and the scenery, so I got on the internet, found some greenhouse inspiration pictures, and we met there Saturday after her hair and makeup trial to execute her vision. (You've got to take advantage of these prep days, brides!) I cleared it with them ahead of time on the phone about a month or so back but went ahead and spoke with the owner when I got there and he was so kind. Go check them out for plants, coffee, and vibes if you're in the east downtown area.

I think the coolest part about the shoot was her Honda Metro set. Although, it's not a set - that's hers :D

I made a cute retro-inspired ribbon garland to tie to the back of the scooter as she drove down the streets behind Eden before she headed home (where tons of you saw her and posted on Instagram! I love connecting with people in the city in ways like that!) in her bridal attire.

I am so excited

to watch Roxy marry her best friend in October and to be a part of their big day. Follow her baking account on Instagram to support their journey (and to buy some of the best baked goods in the city) and follow mine here for upcoming detail shots of the wedding and other things!
